I have left of writing here lately. So many things have happened, but all of them seem not quite important enough to warrant a post.
Over the weekend, I attended a wedding in Petersburg, VA. It was lovely! Vince and I had hoped to spend Saturday morning in town at the AGSAS event as spectators, but sadly the place we stayed was 45 minutes from town and our time schedule would not have allowed it. So, instead we woke early (6am!!!) for breakfast (why?) and then took a nap since everything but the diner was closed until 10am! Waited for what seemed like hours in the barber shop so that Vince could get his hair cut. And finally spent time checking out the local shops with Steven and Eric (Vince's brothers) and had lunch at a pizzaria. Yum!
The wedding was GORGEOUS! The bride looked very beautiful, and the reception was splendid in the historic train station in Petersburg. Lots of dancing and celebration - as most receptions go.
This week I've been finishing up projects and desperately trying to move on to the next sewing project - a Regency dress for another lady at Rock Ford. I'm really excited about this project because the lady is very sweet, I've sewed for her before, and it means using a pre-existing pattern that I've sewn lots before. Yay! It shouldn't take to long to finish.
With wedding planning and apartment decorating it's been so hard to stay focused and sit at my sewing machine. I do best in the mornings when the Today show is on and I can learn new and interesting things, but the afternoons are so tough. I always have urges to go shopping or spend time with mom. There are always so many places to go and lots of things to do for the wedding. I'm hoping that things will be a little easier next year. I may need to ask Vince for a movie budget or something so that I will have some new things to listen to while I'm glued to my sewing machine. I get bored with there are no new movies or new things to listen to and I don't really like radio or ipod.
