Spring

Spring is here and I can't think of anything but graduation. The dress I'll wear, the luncheon beforehand, how I'll wear my hair. I'm too busy concentrating on what fun things Vince and I will do together this summer and not enough thought on my schoolwork. I can't afford to take a break from my studies, but I find myself so distracted that I must.

I'm currently working on determining a topic for a history paper on 1700 England. The question will be something like, "How did technological innovations in textile production affect fashions from (date) to (date)?" I just need to find enough primary resources. So far I've found some really great information on the types of looms available and pictures of them in our online library database.

Now that I'm home I wish I had purchased some navy blue duchesse silk satin for my graduation dress in NYC. I'd really like to find a nice heavy cotton with a satin finish. I'm hoping that maybe the Fabric Outlet at home will have something.
