Late Night Scandal

:::School for Scandal Late Night:::

Tonight I'm up late sketching 1700s dresses - fun - and watching Marie Antoinette. Gosh, I love the costume designer for that film. Forget her name. But I recently found out that she designed 'Barry Lyndon' and 'The Affair of the Necklace' too, which is really cool. I've loved the costumes in 'Affair' since I first saw it - gorgeous stuff! She must be sooo talented! I love her style of making things pseudo period but then stylizing colors, especially, to make it more glam and fitting to the film. I really liked how the designer for 'Vanity Fair' did that as well. Now that is a good costume flick.

Lately my drawing skills have been pretty decent, which is awesome, because it would be soooo uncool if I were to lose my drawing skills right before a sketch project is due. It's happened before, I'm sure.

This weekend is the Harrisburg Ball! I'm pretty excited, even though I don't have a new ballgown with a train - wahhhh! I'm going in my very girlish greyish violet gown with pink flower trim. It should be cute. Of all of my dresses that one gets the most attention. Other people just love it for some reason. It is pretty cute. Took me forever to make. And all of the pinking hurt my arm and I had to go to the doctor and live with pain for a few weeks. Ha. But it was well worth the effort. ; )
