BLUE SILK
This is the shade of the blue silk for the 1700s dress. It is a solid blue that glows in the candlelight. I had the privilege of making a gown for a customer out of it recently (Blue regency dress) and it looked stunning in the candlelight of an evening party. Perhaps I will trim the gown in similar colors as the shades of peach and greens in this original 1700s fabric sample. I'd like it to look like a confectionary marvel. I adored the gowns of 'Marie Antoinette', and although it seems trite, I'd love for it to have that same feeling of sugary splendor.
