Christmas Time is Here!

Hooray! Christmas time is finally here! I must admit, every year I'm a Grinch and I'm in the Christmas bashing mood all Fall...because I just adore Fall and don't want one minute of it to be stolen by the over commercialism of Christmas. But, when Thanksgiving is over, I always EMBRACE the coming of Christmas. It really is one of the most special times of year because we celebrate the coming of our PRECIOUS Savior - Jesus!

So Christmas...WELCOME!

Today while Vince was working I dug deep into our storage closet and pulled out TONS of Christmas decorations. You'd think that we were pros at decorating the apartment. No, we just have lots of relatives who gave us Christmas related WEDDING gifts...and I shopped lots of SALES last year! Heh. I had a job back then...one that I hated...so I spent lots of MONEY. : ) Oops!

I set up the Christmas tree and I'm very proud of the GLORIOUS decorating job I did UNDERNEATH the tree...you'll have to wait until after we've added the tree ornaments to see what I'm talking about...but it was a good use of Christmas tree balls! ; )

I made our first ADVENT wreath by using some burgundy (new fav color!) berries leftover from the wedding to a $1.00 thrifted gold advent circle thingy...it looks pretty good for the price. It was way under $5 total.

I'm looking forward to another week of GOOD FOOD (so LOOK OUT Vince!). I have a few things planned so far and I'm still on the hunt for some more good recipes. I really want to make some CHOCOLATEY baked goods, too...
