Becoming a Wife

Hello! I've been busy as a beaver lately! Last night I cooked my first dinner for Vince and I...actually the first real dinner I've ever cooked. It turned out pretty well! We had Salmon - marinated and baked, Scalloped Potatoes with bacon and celery (etc.), and Green Beans. :)

Tonight Vince has been napping because he was up late last night working (until 5am!). So, I've been making my first pot of soup. Chicken Corn Soup.

Today I met with Barbara and Suzie at the School of Theatre Costume Department about the job that I will have with them. I'll be organizing their historical costume collection...cataloging and photographing the items. I'm super excited to work with the historical clothing. Today I had a sneak peak at the collection and it was very nice! There was a mid-Victorian dress lying there on the table that I can't wait to look at better! Suzie was inspired by the historical costume collections at Kent State, University of Virginia, and Shippensburg Fashion Archives and wants to make the collection at PSU more like theirs.

Ohh, that's so cool. When I was in college, I was the curator of ISU's theater department's historical garment collection. I miss having access to all of those originals! We had an extensive collection but it was in danger though due to lack of storage and lack of respect for the garments. I am so afraid to ask what happened to it.
