:::Saturday Relaxation:::
This day has been filled with many many ups and downs emotionally for me. But it has been a good day, I think. I've spent a good deal of time just relaxing.
This evening I have been spending time looking forward to Christmas. Decorating. Food. Presents. And gathering inspiration online for all of these things.
I have to admit, I'm not particularly excited about putting away the pumpkins and fall decorations, because I adore autumn so, but I will welcome another chance to plan a decorating scheme. I have a few ideas up my sleeve already.
Colors: Silver, Gold, Glass, Mirrors
We have a very fake green Christmas tree that I wish were a fashionable silver tinsel Christmas tree...so I think I may decorate the branches with gold and silver berry sprays left over from the wedding to make it look more vintage inspired. We have a great collection of repro vintage Christmas ornaments that I purchased on sale last Christmas. They will be perfect for our slighly vintage inspired living room. :) Perhaps I will make some sort of fun fur/silk/velvet tree skirt, too. And I want to have lots of fur throws in the living room to keep it looking cuddly.
Our house smells delightfully of cinnamon apple thanks to the wonderful Glade Glass Scents air fresheners that I can't keep my hands off of every time I go to the store. They look classy sitting around...not like air fresheners at all.
Last night we had a dinner party with close friends. I'm really enjoying this cooking and entertaining stuff!
Check out this Minestrone Soup recipe I found online - it looks yummy!
