Here are a few of the men's costumes for 'School for Scandal'. Top is Sir Bejamin Backbite's costume. He's a fop character. Middle is Sir Oliver. He was away in the orient for some time so his costume exhibits exotic elements. Bottom is Snake. I took my inspiration for the snake scale design on his jacket from actual research - I saw it in several costume plates of the period. Pretty awesome. He is also a fop character - notice the striped stockings? These are just initial sketches that I did late at night before class so hopefully I can get some better final renderings out of them. ; )
