BEAUTY

ROSE

I took so many pictures of the ROSE that Vince gave me (above). Isn't it beautiful? I love photographing everything natural that crosses my path. There is such BEAUTY in God's creation! From now on I should take all of my costume inspirations from nature because the colors and textures of life are FASCINATING. This rose is so beautiful that even in a photo you can almost feel the SOFTNESS of its petals and smell its sweet MUSKY scent.

Today I'm MEDITATING on God's goodness. I'm having dinner with Val at Panera to study the Bible and chat about LIFE. Meeting with good friends to study God's word keeps me going through the week. Lately I've been working on the Fruits of the Spirit:

"But the Fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS and SELF-CONTROL." - Galatians 5:22

I have a long way to go on mastering most of these. : ) I'm working on scripture memorization. I lost my little packet of scripture memorization cards in my messy room, but fortunately I still have the list of them and my Bible. Maybe keeping my room clean would fall under 'Self-control' - not throwing your clothes around the room when you're in a hurry in the morning?

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come." 2 Corinthians 5:17

I love this verse. It says so much about the way we are to live for Christ. We are to turn from our sinful way of living, but that's not all we are to do. We need to take up a new way of living - God's way. That's so cool. By turning towards God and learning to live as he called us to we can experience complete victory in Him.
