More 'School for Scandal'

Tonight I'm working on more design sketches for 'School for Scandal.' It seems like the process is taking forever but yet at the same time my classmates and I have gotten very little accomplished just because of the amount of credits we're taking. It's so crazy how long designing costumes for a show takes. There is so much research, thought, and sketching behind each costume choice. While you'd think it would be easy to make such choices there is just so much detail involved. The research binder I've compiled for this show is thicker than the standard Dictionary or Bible and is only about 1/2 to 3/4 of all of my research. The rest is still on my computer.

And, maybe if I get bored I'll pop in 'Marie Antoinette' again. That movie is so good to have on as background because it's so much music and pretty pictures that you don't really miss much (other than some great silks) if you don't look most of the time.

I'm meeting up with Val for a late dinner at Panera and then it's major sketching time. I'm thinking I might just pull an all nighter. Hey, it's supposed to snow tonight, so maybe I'll even get to see that begin! I love watching the sunrises from my window, there is such a great view of the mountains and it's just one of those things where you can just feel God's awesomeness watching the sun come up. If it gets later than 2:00 and I'm not finished with my homework I usually opt to pull an all nighter so that I can see the sun rise. : )

Yesterday after lunch at Irving's with Meghan, I stopped at the Rag and Bone vintage store in town to check out their latest spring arrivals. I found a really great chunky necklace that is pearls and green candy looking beads in two strands. It's huge and lovely. I love purchasing trinkets at vintage stores. As I walked home I decided that purchasing vintage jewelry is one of the great pleasures of life.
