Late Nights Researching are Divine!
Finally, one night when I can stay up as late as I want and research research research! Yay! Lately the fashions I've been researching most are those of the regency era. As well as those of our own era...on etsy. My new favorite website! I am addicted!
This weekend I had planned to go to Gettysburg for the Hardtack Society winter social, but Vince wasn't able to make it after all. So, I have the whole weekend to enjoy myself! Tomorrow I plan to sew for the majority of the day and hopefully get a lot accomplished. I'll stop at the fabric store for some new patterns. And check out a local book barn for some vintage sewing books. The book barn is owned by the father of my friend Jane, and it's right down the hill from her sewing studio. Maybe I'll pop in to visit her in the morning. Tomorrow I plan to begin several regency dresses. One from the Past Patterns pattern - because I already have it half cut out, and three from the pattern I drafted about a year ago.

Let me know how the Past Patterns pattern works out. I've been eying it up since it came out! : )
Oh, I've made that one up before. It was ok...I was disappointed by the amount of fullness in the bodice...I wanted fuller gathers. It's the dress in this picture: http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2933742430065263593XSpKmS (let me know if that link doesn't work...it's the white dress in the Rockford album of my webshots page).
Yeah, that was one of those patterns that I made up and wanted to change some things just ever so slightly, so I draped my own pattern and loved it so much better! : )
