This is my favorite stained glass window from Vince's church. It's become like an old friend to me. I love to look at it during church services there. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful. I don't really know anything about how stained glass windows are made, so I like to ponder it while in church. It's stunning.
I've been working very diligently on making six new bags to add to my Etsy site. They really do seem to take forever to make!
This evening I watched 'Mona Lisa Smile'. It's been awhile. I remember watching it with Vince early on in our relationship. It brings up a lot of questions about relationships and the role of women. I've always sort of liked the ideal 1950s housewife role a little. I remember asking him if I would be able to stay at home to raise our children someday - he said yes, of course. Whatever makes me happy. What a sweet guy. : ) I think it would make me happy to be at home and raise children. I don't think I'm blind to the misfortunes of being a housewife, but there are some good things, too, I think.
Women's history class in college challenged me to find what my idea of the ideal female role is. I think I'm still working on that. Perhaps we all are.
