Today I've been sewing the 1785 Chemise Dress for a customer. It's so lovely and I can't wait to complete the three that I'm making for myself. : )
I've been watching 'Marie Antoinette' to get me in the mood for sewing a dress of this period. Every time I watch this movie I want to do Revolutionary War reenacting! I know the costumes aren't correct, but they're so lovely! The costume designer for this movie is a genious. The costumes are absolutely fabulous! If only things we typically see on stage were this good!
I love the little blonde girl in this movie too - Maria Theresa. I want a blonde child of my own someday! : )
Last night I went to see 'Doubt' at the Fulton. I didn't really care for the show. I typically like musicals far better than most plays. Unless they're comedies like 'Fourteen'. I love that little 1920s confection! It's such a fun play! It was so delightful to be back at the theater though. I truly want to immerse myself in theater again someday. I just need to determine where I'm headed with my interests.
I finally posted some bags on Etsy! They can be found at thethreegraces.etsy.com. And check out my friend Katie's bags and sock animals, too! She's such a cutie! katiepatatey.etsy.com.
