Lovely Lady

Lovely Lady

I cut my hair today on a whim. Afterwards I took a shower and put it up...I've been afraid to take it down to see how it turned out! This is the first time I've cut it and been afraid about the results! I cut some of the layers pretty short. Heh. Oops? Maybe it's just because I'm getting married in six months so I'm starting to get a little protective of my hairstyle. But six months is enough for it to grow longer, right?

I am so exhausted. Tonight at work was super busy and everyone needed my assistance in determining what to purchase!

Some thoughts on a few of my favorite things:::

Silk - Oh, yes, this is my very favorite fabric of ALL time! Every kind of silk is lovely and I find it such a dream to sew with. Maybe just because I adore it so!

Fur - Isn't it horrible? For someone who loves little animals so much it just seems dreadful that I should like fur so much, but I do! Although I usually purchase it vintage so I don't feel so bad. The animals have already been dead for so long. I even like the furs with the heads and tails...especially peoples' reactions to them when I put them in fashion shows!

Coral and Turquoise - So lovely!

Sewing pretty dresses - Well, mainly researching and designing them. And making the patterns. Sewing them is actually the part I'm not so much into. By the time I get to that point I want to move on to the next project!

Coffee Table Books - I love these, Vince hates them. He wants to get rid of all of his, I told him he can give them to me. : )

Costume Movies - Enough said!

Vintage Evening Dresses - Especially 1930s and 1950s. They're so fun to wear to the theater!

Boots - These are just somehow the epitome of sexiness and comfort. Why, I don't know. They always put leading men in them in period plays and movies if they can. Heh. And to wear boots is just way too fun. I love to wear boots in winter. Up to my knees with fur linings. Probably so uncool but for me it's divine. Even rain boots are just so awesome. I guess that's just the effect State College had on me. Everyone wears boots there!

Pumpkin Spice Candles - Because I love Autumn!

Wow!! You hate the sewing part, too? I LOVE doing the research and the patterning. I hate the sewing for the most part.
