Splendidly Sophisticated
This week has offered new experiences, a time of rest and renewal, and joy in bucketfulls. Tuesday night Bible Study on John was fascinating and I truly enjoyed studying the Bible in depth. I talked to my past flute teacher - she's very bubbly and fun. And I went diamond shopping - no, not an engagement ring. Actually, a right hand ring, but I didn't think about it being called that until now. : ) I found one that I love!
I've been working hard on the Revolutionary War dresses. I have my mother's dress cut out, one shift is finished (my mom's been working hard on that), the rump roll pattern is made and fabric cut out, one pair of stays is cut out, and the Pocket Hoop pattern arrived tonight and I cut one pair of those out. We're using a beautiful tan and red striped fabric for the rump roll and pocket hoops. We've had the fabric for awhile and it was just perfect for this project. Most of the supplies for the project we already had on hand, but I'm looking forward to a shopping trip to get the extra odds and ends.
Tomorrow is another hard day of work and Friday is fittings at work and then Eric and I travel to Penn State to visit Vince for the weekend. We'll be seeing a football game while we're there - my first PSU football game! I was always too busy to attend while at school - Saturdays were my homework day! I'm hoping to purchase a cute PSU vintage style jacket while there to wear to the game...I have one that says Cornell, but that doesn't help me at a PSU game. : )
And...I'm trying to decide which color wig to purchase for my Halloween Costume. Blonde or Strawberry Blonde? Or both? Just in case I change my mind at the last minute! : )
