Fashion Splurge

Last night I felt like being lazy - what I termed it at the time. Now, in retrospect, I see that it wasn't really laziness but just the desire for a break. Afterall, I had worked all day long. And so I took one. After eating out with my parents, my mother and I took a little excursion to one of my favorite shopping spots: Ann Taylor. We had a coupon to use and some cash to burn. ; ) The styles for fall this year seem really horrid - lots of stretch knit and jersey. Ugh. Red and black are the colors along with some blue and white. I didn't find anything in the new clothing styles - except a jacket but when I tried it on it wasn't super cute afterall. Heh. So, I searched the sale racks - mainly the larger size sections, and pulled out some nice finds in my size. All of the cute clothing in the small sections was gone, so I was able to find a few in the wrong sections. Yay! One shirt I found was $3.88! I found two new pairs of ballet flats, too. How I'm learning to <3 them. They were impossible to wear at PSU but I can now wear them everywhere and it's wonderfully delightful to have small dainty looking feet!

At work in the afternoon I worked on compiling a notebook full of collected magazine fashions. I always tear out my favorite pages and toss the old magazines, but I just needed to find time to cut out the pics that I liked, paste them on paper, and insert the pages into clear plastic covers. Now I have a notebook full of my lovely images and it's so ORGANIZED. Completely thrilling for me!
