Thrifted Saturday

:::Thrifted Saturday:::

Thrifting is digging for treasure. And that's just what we did on Saturday morning with our neighbors Josh and Kirsten. We met up at 9am for breakfast at our apartment. I set the dining room table with blue checked linens and our fiestaware and Vince and I made chocolate chip pancakes. We ate every last one!

After breakfast we headed out on our adventure. First to a Knights of Columbus thrift sale, where I picked up a few books and another large ivory french sign - this one says AMORE. :) Perfect for our newly Vintage & French kitchen decor!

Then on to Goodwill where they were having a 50% off sale on EVERYTHING! The boys had fun looking at appliances, records, and clothes. Meanwhile I scooped out the lastest house decor. I found a few neat things there - as usual. My favorite are some small antique china plates with scalloped edges and red flowers - perfect for Valentine's decorating.

At the antique store I found the cutest little trunk - just perfect for reenacting. It even has a key! But, it was a little pricey, so after returning home without it and despairing that I would never see it again, Vince allowed me to go back and get it! What a sweet husband! We're both excited about using our new trunk to transport our reenacting items in style!
