Today I started sewing the wedding vests - I say vests because I couldn't decide which silk to use so I decided to make two vests! Better safe than sorry. ;) The welt pockets are BRUTAL! They're right at the beginning of vest sewing, too. But, at least that gives you something to look forward to - easier sewing up ahead. As soon as I finish them! It took me so long just to get to the 1/2 way welt point that now I'm totally out of thinking power and need a long break. :) So, here I am! Checking blogs for any new and inspiring updates.
Today I was blessed with another answer to prayer. Another small, minor, type prayer, but I am soooo thankful anyway. I was searching for two matching lamp shades to go on two lamps in our apartment bedroom. Either in red or gold to match the other lamp shade that I thrifted. And, I found them! Two lovely new lamp shades - excellent quality - with gold faux silk covers in exactly the right shade. So, I'm very happy to have found them at Goodwill today. They were the only thing I purchased there - not usual - but I was SO happy with this purchase!
