::: gEttInG gLaMoRoUs :::This weekend our apartment is 'getting glamorous'. The bedroom is now almost completely finished, and the bed is no longer 'naked'. It is now stylishly attired in beautiful sheer pale gold organza. The red silk down filled comforter that I thrifted makes it look like the bed of a queen. :) I was also very pleased with our clearance rack glass candle holders from Target.
The living room redecorating project is in full swing. Tonight Vince and I both worked together on the window seat which we will hopefully be able to finish tomorrow. I'm able to put some good use to the silk fabrics that I've thrifted over the years, making lovely pillow covers out of them to coordinate.
Isn't this 'pouf pillow' from Urban Outfitters divine??? We purchased one similar to this at an antique store the other month for our living room. But I'd like to get my hands on a few more. They're smocked velvet. Very popular in the 1950-60s. There are a lot of patterns available for them on Etsy.

And, this is the beautiful bag that I purchased for our honeymoon travelling. It was found at Lulu and Tutz, a local cottage chic boutique. I admired this for SO long and finally couldn't resist any longer! Vince was a sweetie and said I could go ahead and buy it. :) I love the style of the travel bag - much like the bag patterns available from Amy Butler Design, and the fabric is so cute!Check out other cute bags at Home A La Mode.
And, check out this delightful and very fitting blog that I found for this weekend of Glamour: Girl Meets Glamour.
