I typed up a business plan for August and September. Not sure how closely I'll be able to stick to it since I bounce between being excited about the business, planning apartment decorating ideas, and working on wedding things. : ) But, it's good to have a plan. ; )
Today my mom and I went to Shippensburg to visit the Fashion Archives exhibit there with several friends. My good friend, Gaye, came with us, as well as my friend Beverly who makes the most amazing historical reproduction bonnets (I love them! They truly are the best!). We met up with my friend Rosie in Gettysburg and had brunch. It was so good to get together with some girls that have similar passions. And I really enjoyed talking with Rosie about how much we both really really really enjoyed the 1888 event that we attended last summer. I really hope that Faith plans another 1880s event sometime. She did a fabulous job because we just can't stop talking about how much fun we had.
I splurged on the Past Patterns sheer dress pattern from Abraham's Lady...but then I saw that it was $10 cheaper directly from Past Patterns - what the heck? Ugh. But the exhibit book from the Shippensburg Archives is fabulous! And I was excited to see a Martha McCain pattern on display. It was neat to see how she had it laid out on the paper...just like the 'Patterns of Fashion' books that I love so much. Even the font looked the same. I wonder if I can enlarge the pattern that I took pictures of?
