Another Lovely Day

Another lovely day and an even more delightful evening. Tonight I had dinner on the patio with my family and then retreated to my room to work on wedding invitations. They're going so well and I'm super excited to get them finished and mailed. :)

The sun is just beginning to set and the sky is a beautiful shade of pale strawberry between the leafy tree branches.

I spent this afternoon with my mother. We had such a good time together. I am so thankful for the time that my mother spends with me, and the opportunities I have to talk to her and share things with her. I don't know what it would have been like if I'd had sisters.

We had a marvelous time at Michael's picking out fall flowers for a wedding decoration. The fall florals were 40% off, and since we love to create, we figured we could use another decoration somewhere. I was attached to some big beautiful burgandy velvet sunflowers that they had, so we worked around that.

This evening I had the opportunity to talk to a good friend and reconnect. It was so wonderful to hear about what God is doing in her life, and to have her encouragement and love. I love good friends!

I really wish my mother(and father) lived out here. Especially with all the wedding stuff. :(

I've been making tons of paper flowers to decorate with at my reception. I love the look of the DIY-ness of paper flowers but boy, did they take some time to make.
