My emotions have been up and down lately and it feels as if life has been, too...although it's really only been up. Life's decisions are difficult sometimes. Last night I stayed up late and went to bed in an unmade bed of clean sheets...and it made me supremely happy. I love that for some reason. When it's too late to make the bed and you just fall into it and smell the clean sheets all around you, fluffy and cool. And you feel a wreck and it's okay because it's just for one night. Sometimes it's good to just let yourself go and enjoy life.
Tomorrow is Friday! I still have much work to do on my civil war dress. I need to pleat the skirt and finish the swiss waist but I plan to just stay up late tomorrow night doing that.
Saturday is the event in Gettysburg at the Daniel Lady Farm. Sunday is antique shopping and presumably church...if we get back in time. I'm setting aside some spending money for new vintage jewelry finds. : ) V and I plan to wake up super early to check out the flea markets with Paul. Last time we had some super cool purchases...I got some coral jewelry. : )
I love the above Kate Winslet dress. Wouldn't it be great to make a repro of this for the NAVS formal? I think it would probably be a lot of work and expense but I would feel super cute in it. : )
