Since College I've gradually been growing into the more cultured sphere of TEA drinkers. My dear friend, Eileen, is an avid tea drinker and has helped to bring refinement to our relationship by introducing Vince and I to the concept of tea time. Eileen and her husband take time every evening to sit peacefully sipping tea before bedtime, sharing DREAMS, JOYS, SORROWS, and their LOVE. As a Wedding Shower present Eileen gifted me a beautiful picnic basket filled with tea drinking delights. A tea pot, various teas to sample, a cd with romantic music, and a little book on tea time snacks. As a Wedding Present, Eileen and her husband gave Vince and I another tea related gift that turned out to be one of our favorite Wedding presents. Two lovely band boxes were filled with a Vintage teapot from her own collection and matching teacups and saucers. I had sipped tea from this very set at her house years ago as a little girl, when I used to play with her foster child, Mary. The tea set was accompanied by a creamer and sugar bowl and a set of lovely silver tongs that were from Eileen's family. It was such a delightful and meaningful gift!
Now Vince and I continue the tradition of sipping tea together in the evenings and taking time to talk about our DREAMS for the future together.
