Today I was made aware of the need for better quality in my sewing...something I find slightly amusing at best. I'm thankful for this little hint as it will keep me from having any over-exaggerated ideas of my great sewing abilities and will save me the hastle of starting my own sewing business. Heh.

Car shopping has progressed to the point where I will be able to purchase my car tomorrow. A burgandy/red Ford Taurus. I'm not too picky. It drives well and has all of the desirable 'creature comforts' (as the car salesman says). I test drove a Pontiac Sunfire which was beautiful on the outside but so sad inside. It looked fine but didn't have power locks, power windows, or a cd player. Things I thought all cars had by this point.

I have been working on my tableaux costumes with a lot of sewing help from my mother. They're all coming out really well and I'm so excited! I'm glad to finally be able to use up fabrics that I've owned for awhile, too.

I can't imagine anyone saying your sewing quality is lacking! From what I've seen of your stuff, it's gorgeous and looks awesome! I'm always envious (seriously!) when I see your gorgeous creations! I can tell you're very detailed. So I just can't understand why anyone would say that. Of course it's always good to work at getting better at what you do. At least I know that to be true for myself. Sometimes I think I'll never be as good as others...

Everyone seems to be getting a car these days. My friend has a Taurus as well. (We call it her grandma car...no offense, but it's sort of an inside joke having to do with driver's ed back in the day) And my other friend just gave me a spin in her car. Man, I'm jealous!!

ha! I just bought a Taurus! The first time you have to pack for an event you'll find how big the trunk is!

Your stuff always looks fabulous to me, but I'm not a seamstress..Anna is and so her word is better than mine on that!

We can't WAIT to see the tableaux at the fair!

Anna - it may be a grandma car! : ) My grandparents have a Taurus and when I told Vince I was planning to get one he told me his grandparents have one, too. Ha! I don't mind, it drives really well. My mom is still pretty young and she drives a Buick - now that's geeky. ; )

Oh, I was definitely checking out the trunk when I purchased the car. It looks very nice and roomy. : ) I can't wait!

Thanks for the words of encouragement , Colleen! ;)

I'm super excited about the tableaux, too! I know this whole fair will be so neat! I think the non-AGSAS people that I invited to participate in the tableaux are also really excited about being able to participate in this AGSAS event. Who knows, maybe you'll get a few new recruits. :)
