Last night we had a terrible storm here that hit rather suddenly. Mom, Dad, and I were all sitting in the living room when our house was struck by a falling tree. We live in a wooded area so that's always something that we're concerned about but it had never happened before. It left a hole in our new roof (just replaced a week ago) and water came in through the ceiling! The storm was still raging and by the time it was finished our yard was left a total mess. A tree fell on my car...so I guess I'll be purchasing a new car pretty soon. This morning when we took a look outside it looked bad, but walking around proved that it was even worse than we thought. One section of our property has about 6 or more trees down all in one small area. They're basically just piled up on top of eachother. It's pretty crazy.

Fortunately my uncle and two of my cousins came over today to help with the cleanup and we already had the roofer here and neighbors who offered to help clean up and take firewood. That's good because we already have plently of firewood from previous years of fallen trees.

In other news, Vince moved into his room at PSU today and I'm super excited to go and visit him. It sounds like it will be a really exciting semester this year for him. He's living with a bunch of Christian guys who are in Navigators, a Christian organization, with him. He's also President of NAVS and a Bible Study leader this year. I'm so proud of him. ; )
