I love this movie! Such great civil war dresses - but why is it not on DVD?
Today I marched in the Memorial Day parade with my mother and others from our reenacting unit. It looked like rain, so not many of the civilians attended. Sort of sad, but we had a good time anyway. : )
I'm thinking about making a new dress to wear to the reenactment next weekend. I haven't made one in awhile and I get tired of wearing the same things. My mom might make a new one, too. We selected two sheer fabrics... mine is olive green and plum colored with white plaid, and I would make an olive green satin swiss waist to match. My mother's is red and brown with off-white plaid and I would decorate a bonnet to match. I'm not going to worry if we don't get them done though. ; )

That looks like a really interesting movie! Since I DO have a region free DVD player, I might be tempted to purchase the DVD that is available... hmmm. How good of a movie was it? As in, was it an actually good movie to enjoy or was the movie lacking, but the costumes wonderful? lol. In any case, I hope I can get a hold of a copy somewhere, because the few pics I have seen of the costumes look awesome!
The movie was okay...the beginning is a little slow, but it gets more interesting. The costumes are amazing so it's definitely worth it just to see the costumes. :)
