Williamsburg and Graduation

I'm back from my trip to Williamsburg and Graduated! The Friday after finals ended my mom, Vince, and I headed down to Virginia for a week to visit Colonial Williamsburg. I had a blast! The costumes were amazing and I took lots of pictures. Hopefully I can eventually post a few - they're on my mom's computer so I'll have to get them on my computer and edit them first...but eventually. We also toured the Dewitt Wallace Museum which had a fabulous gift shop where I purchased many new costume books to add to my collection. Mwhahahaha! I also got a special private tour of the Costume Shop at Colonial Williamsburg. It was sooo huge and super cool. Everything was very organized and top of the line. One of the days we toured several plantation homes in the area including Berkeley Plantation and Sherley Plantation. The houses were gorgeous and the families who owned them back in the 1700s still reside in them...that was interesting.

Today we travelled to PSU for Graduation! While there we saw Paul B. who graduated in my college - Arts and Architecture with a major in Architecture. That was cool. Always fun when Hardtack Society members can graduate together. :) The best part is, he's going to be in our area this summer doing an internship so we have tons of antiquing excursions planned. Yippee!

I currently have a job offer that I'm considering at Sight and Sound. Not sure if it's my dream job, but it would be a start. I inadvertently fell into it. I also have another job offer but it wouldn't start until the fall and is a consultant position so it wouldn't be long term. Sooo...that makes my decision a bit tricky. I'm sure things will work out either way. :)

While in Williamsburg I was scouting out ideas for costumes to make for the Revolutionary War reenactment at the end of the summer. I purchased two straw hats to trim for daytime wear as well as several large plumes for my mother and I to wear in our hair to the evening ball. When I tried to purchase Vince a tri-corn hat for his large head, the seller said that the person we wanted to purchase the hat for must be of great intellectual strength. Hah. :)
