Mexican Pile On Dinner

::: Mexican Pile on Dinner :::

For our Life Group dinner we decided to try a recipe given to us by family friends - a couple who just happen to be top notch cooks. I was a little nervous because I didn't do a practice run...but, the meal was DELICIOUS!

Here's the RECIPE, definitely something that kids would like, too.

::: Mexican Pile on Dinner :::
Makes enough for 10-16 people (recipe said 10, we had 16 and there was plenty)

4lb. Hamburger
3 Bottles Chili Sauce
3/4 Cup Water
3 Tbsp. Curry Powder

Fray hamburger and break into little pieces. Add Chili sauce, shaking about 1/4 cup water in each bottle to rinse, and add to meat. Add curry to taste. Simmer to develop flavor on medium to low 1-1.5 hours with lid.

Rice for 10-16 People

2 Cups Water
3 Cups Rice
3 Tbsp. Butter
3 tsp. Salt

Combine in pot. Heat to boiling. Reduce to simmer. Cook 20 minutes until water has dissolved.

Condiments
About 2 Cups of Each
(You can ask your guests to bring their favorite toppings, these are just a few ideas...)

Chopped Onion, Tomato, Green Pepper, Pineapple Tidbits, Chopped Apple, Refried Beans Heated, Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream, Avacado chopped and tossed with lemon or lime juice, Celery, Carrots, Raisins, and Corn Chips.

Serve Rice first, then Meat, then Condiments.
