This sounds so silly, but I'm just pining over having a Burgundy gown to wear to a wedding on Saturday. For some reason I just got it in my head that I Need/Want/Have to Have a Burgundy Chiffon 1950s halter dress and I want it...right now! But I don't think it's happening unless a miracle happens because I've searched all over for the Perfect dress with no luck. I have the absolute perfect Vintage 1950s pattern for one...but can't seem to find the perfect fabric.
So, my options are black and champagne pink...and black and champagne pink...one a Vintage 1950s Satin and Lace dress, the other a modern late 20s looking Chiffon evening dress. I just don't want to wear black because everyone wears black. I want to look smart and chic and not boring.
Don't get me wrong, I love black, it's one of my very favorite colors, but I dislike looking like everyone else at a party. :)
If only I could find the perfect fabric...
