A picture of my mother in the 1700s dress she made for the Rockford event a few weekends ago. It's made from silk with cotton organdy for the sleeve flounces. She wears the pocket hoops from the J.P. Ryan pattern under the skirt. The Pet en lair (bodice) was made from the J.P. Ryan pattern - the same pattern can also be used to make a dress (just lengthen it). I did the cutting and designing and she did all of the sewing. Yay Mom! I think it turned out really nicely!
