Meet our New Ottoman Bench!

I'm so thrilled to add this piece of furniture to our Living Room! It's sad, I know. But I've wanted an Ottoman for so long. Dedicated countless hours to searching for the perfect Ottoman. The closest I've come to perfection are the Ottomans at Calico Corners which are way out of our newly married price range.

I considered making one and finally figured out how when I saw this post by The Little Green Notebook : Make an Ottoman from a Coffee Table.
How cool! But, finally I decided to purchase a bench style that would fit in our next apartment.

My plan is to recover the gold upholstery with Light Robbins Egg Blue Silk Taffeta (a very heavy Upholstery grade) to match the Blue Trunk. I found the Silk in my stash! I think Blue will really make the legs of the Ottoman pop!
