:::Future Planning Galore:::
My time recently has been filled with day dreams, sewing, and planning for the future. This evening my mother and I met with the florist about the wedding flowers. She seems very capable and I'm super excited to work with her more on the flowers. I'm going will lots of fabulous fall colors in the boquets, of course.
Above is the cake topper that we found the other week while shopping for the house. I also purchased my first set of silverware! On sale. :) Still deliberating about the dishware. Fiestaware?
And...most exciting news. Today Melissa told me about a fabulous silk find that she found at a local fabric store...and I went out after work and snatched a bunch of it up. Yay! I have a few projects in mind for it. Some of it was a satin with cutwork in it - white - that I want to make a dress out of to wear to the rehearsal dinner. There were only 4 yards of it. But I was wishing that it could be made into a 1950s style dress...so I'll have to see what I can do. It's very lovely though and has me all excited about sewing. Now, if I can just find the time!
I don't think that my body likes me to sew so much, either. Ugh. My arm had been hurting these past few weeks and I have a sneaking suspicion that it is from sewing far too much. That has happened twice before to me as a result of cutting. Boohoo. I hate sewing inflicted injuries. I've been informed that I'm not the only one...lots of ladies at work have had surgeries as a result of sewing injuries. : ( I think I would quit sewing before that happened. Hopefully.

I love my Fiestaware. It was my very first dish set. I love how fun and classic the set is. They have new darker colors out but I stuck with the traditional colors.
