:::Weekend of R E L A X A T I O N:::
Friday night was the opening of 'Five Women Wearing the Same Dress' - the mainstage show I designed costumes for this semester. The preview the night before was a little shaky, but Friday night's opening performance was marvelous. All of the actresses and the actor did an amazing job. My parents came up to see the show with us. Vince and I met up with them after classes. Mom was disappointed that my room was not immaculately clean - sorry mom, I was a little busy this past week. So she helped me clean it up. Heh. Afterwards we went out to dinner and then celebrated my birthday with cake and presents. This year my big present was the ivory flute so I only got a few other things. I wore my new black dress to the theatre but felt sort of bad since it was black and that didn't seem too unique, but oh well. I'm hoping to make a purple dress for one of the opening nights, but that will depend on my workload for these next few weeks. People have been ordering a lot of dresses from me so I'm hoping they'll hold of on paying or finalizing their orders for a little longer so that I can focus on school work.
Today V and I took a trip to the mall - where I purchased some great jewelry for the purple dress I'll make, which is sort of greecian inspired. I also found something I've wanted since I was a little girl - a canopy for my bed. So, since it was on sale, I purchased it and Vince helped me hang it over my bed tonight. It looks really dreamy! I'm a princess now...I just need the tiara.
Last time I went out I purchased one of my favorite childhood movies, 'A Little Princess.' Watching it again I was really happy with the costuming for the movie. I always loved all of the silk and fur that is in Sarah's room at the end. I'll have to take screenshots of that sometime.
