Latest adventures...

Finally a picture of the bag that I made my friend Angie. She loved it! I still have enough fabric left over to make at least two more - one for me. ; ) It was 'sew' simple to put together and I really liked the results. My own homemade bag pattern. Once in High School I made myself a yellow and blue plaid messenger bag and I got so many compliments on that, too. A possible future in bag making? Around Lancaster it seems like such a fad to have a hand made bag...I know because a lot of the bag makers get their fabric at the PA Fabric Outlet where I work. This fabric though...a great walmart find.

Recently I've been interning at the Fulton, teaching Ivy and Anna how to sew, and thinking up new schemes for my stand at the Soldiers Faire this year at Landis Valley. I also recently attended the Pennypacker Mills reenactment, which was rainy, but funnish. Ohhhhh! And I completed the most adorable cage crinoline EVER! The boning is white, but the cords that hold it all together are red and peach webbing. It's sooo cute! It's 95" but actually doesn't look much smaller than my 108" cage crinoline. But it will be perfect under my harem costume for the costume ball in September.

At the Fulton I ran the show a couple times last weekend - 'Crazy for You'. What a blast. It was so fun working with all of the actors and actresses. Some of them are paid big money to be there and flown in from NY and Chicago! The lead actress was a Penn State BFA Musical Theatre grad and she was the sweetest person to work with. I had so much fun. =) There's really no business like show business. ; )
